Indian Army Preparing To Strike at Japan
(British Official Wireless) Eeceived Wednesday, 9.20 p.m. EUGBY, July 6. General Sir Claude Aucinnleck, at his first Press conference since his appointment as Commander-in-Chief, contrasted India's position now and two years ago, states a Delhi message. He said: •' Two years ago India was not a war zone, we were then building up forces on land and sea and in the adr for the Middle East. To-day India is a wax zone. Last year we had to defend .india against a bitter foe. We are now preparing for the tUm in the tide and in the war against the Japanese India is going to be the main base of operations providing men and supplies.”
