Blankets for Civilian Needs

WELLINGTON, March 6. The supply of blankets for civilian needs was mentioned when the House of Representatives met at 10.30 this morning. The matter was raised by Mr A. Sutherland (Nat., Hauraki) in notice of a question to the Minister of Supply (Mr. Sullivan). He asked if the Minister would indicate which woollen mills could supply blankets for civilian requirements and when they would bo made available to wholesalers and retailers. The information he had received suggested that the mills were behind in defence orders and blankets for civilians would not be in adequate supply for the winter.
