Apiti
(From our Own Correspondent.) District residents will be interested to know that the district nurse will visit Apiti each Tuesday if cases needing her attention send a message to Mrs. R. Hooper, 'phono 11S, before noon. Mrs. AI. E. A. Alartin has returned from a visit to Wellington. Aliss Strahan is on a holiday visit to Tolaga Bay. Airs. C. M. .Stanley is holidaying at Raumati Beach. Mrs. Lambie, of Wellsford, has been the guest of Mr. and Airs. K. R. Lambie at the schoolhouso. Airs. Owen Jensen and family have returned from a holiday at Waitarore Beach. Airs. S. Le Qucsne accompanied Miss Audrey Le Quesne to Christchurch and is spending a holiday there. Air. and Mrs. Dunlop, of Levin, have been staying with their daughter, Airs. Tom Osborne. Air. John Alower, of Utah State, and Air. Jim Bath, of Chicago, were recent American visitors to Apiti. The ladies of the Apiti Presbyterian Church were favoured with a beautiful summer day for their annual garden party held in the Alanse grounds. Rev. and Airs. Baxter welcomed the guests and were assisted by willing helpers. There was a well stocked bring <nd buy stall, and several competitions. Afternoon tea was served on the verandah.
