Get Lambs to Works Early

APPEAL TO FARMERS For Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 28. Both, in the interests of the farmers themselves and of the nation, the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board desires to impress on farmers tho necessity of delivering lambs, particularly early Jambs, to freezing works as soon as possible. It is expected that this season there will again be heavy production of meat for export and the delivery of stock to works when ready for slaughter, will greatly reduce the risk of congestion, disorganisation and disappointment. The importance of farmers marketing lambs as quickly as possible follows from the importance of filling all shipping space offering at the beginning of the season, combined with anticipated difficulties in the transport of stock to works and the restricted amount of labour at the works.
