Rangitikei Races Postponed
Rangitikei's application to race on the Mnrton courso on February 28 having been refused, tho committee has decided to postpone the autumn fixture temporarily and an alternative date will be applied for later in tho soason. The Bulls course has been inspected several times by the military authorities, but no decision has been made as to whether it will be taken over. Should it bo taken, there will be no difficulty in arranging a change of venue, it is understood, and on the other hand, if petrol restrictions are relaxed, Rangitikei will apply to race on its own course. Rangitikei is anxious to keep faith with owners, trainers and patron?, but distance from the rail renders it impossible to race at Bulls, the bulk of horses being brought there by floats, and patrons’ motor-cars numbering about one thousand on eßch race day.
