Feilding Women Bowlers
On Wednesday afternoon members of the Feilding Women's Bowling Club took part in the official opening when Mr. K. Burne, president of the men's club, officiated and extended good wishes for the success of the season.
Mrs. A. Sporle, president of the women’s club, welcomed visitors from Takaro, Terrace End, and Hokowhitu and, in view of the very large attendance, friendly games were played on the men’s greens. Mesaames Sporle, W. Green, P. White, and A. Williamson were responsible for the afternoon tea and floral decorations. Competitions were won by- Mrs. Hammond (Takaro) and Mrs. Boddy (Hokowhitu). The president stated that several new members had been elected and that the membership this season was stronger than ever before. Members of the Croquet Club participated in the play.
