Speed-up of British Shipbuilding
(British Official ’Wireless.) Received Thursday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 5.
Indications of the speed-up of merchant shipbuilding in Britain which are taking place are given by two interesting instances. A 10,700-ton tramp wa* recently delivered ready for service six months after tho keel was laid and n ship of the partly fabricated type took only four months from the laying of the keel to the launching. Singapore. They include R.A.F. personnel and artillery units.
