Dominion Ship Prospects Reported to Have Improved

(Rec. 5, 12.45) LONDON, Nov. 4.

After conversations with the British Minister of War Transport, Lord Leathers, Sir Earle Page, the Australian Minister, announced that Australia's and New Zealand’s export shipping prospects were better than they were five or six months a *°- Australia and New Zealand, he added, should be able to ship most of the meat intended for export next year. Shipments would probably be better than they were last year.

The Ministry of Food to-day announced that It had completed contracts with Argentina, Uruguay, New Zealand, and Australia for 1-million tons of meat.
