Gaol for Theft
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Aug. 13. Two Maoris, William Kepa and Pene Poi were sentenced by Mr. Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court to-day to 18 months ’ hard labour for breaking and entering and theft at the Waiapu Farmers’ Co-operative store at Tikitiki. Harry Lewis Orennan was found . guilty of breaking and entering William and Kettle’s store with intent to commit theft and was sentenced to two years’ hard labour.
