PERSONAL
Mr. and Mrs. L. Steele, of Cuba Street, are visiting Christchurch for the Grand National. At the meeting of the general committee of the Alanawatu and West Coast A. and I*. Association yesterday, the president (Mr. B. E. Keiller) made feeling reference to the death of Mr. T. R. Vile, a brother of Mr. C. E. Vile, which had occurred at Te Puke. Mr. Keiller mentioned that Mr. T. R. Vile was a veteran of the South African an-.l Great Wars and that his death was clue to war service. His resolution of sympathy with Mr. C. E. Vile was carried in silence.
