(From our own Correspondent.) The local Bible class and Sunday school annual tea and prize-giving was held in the local hall recently and there was a good crowd present. The scholars were entertained to tea at 5.30 p.m. ami were later joined by their parents and friends who thoroughly enjoyed the concert which followed. The prizes were presented by Mr. Ilewetson who | delivered a suitable talk to the scholars* Tho concert items were interspersed with suitable choruses sung by members. The programme was as follows:—Recitations by Jean Koberstein, Jocelyn Vile and James Palmer: duet, Betty and Eric Masters; dialogue by pupils; duet, Miss T. Master and Air. L. Rowe: recitations by Betty Masters, Nathalie Williams and Miriam Rowe; solo. Miss M. Weingott; dialogue by Bible class; recitations by Stanley Rowe* Eric Masters, Stella Tremain; duet by Miss T. Masters and Mr. L. Rowe; solos, Miss N. Masters and Alias J. Masters. Recent visitors to the school were Afr. Bates (Inspector) and Air. W. Biibrougli (Agricultural Inspector). Air. and Airs. L. Koberstein spent their holidays in Wellington recently. The friends of Aliss E. Ellery will be pleased to learn she has now returned home after being an inmate of a private hospital. Air. and Airs. Barnard have taken up their residence in this district. New arrivals to the district are Air. and Airs. Olsen and family and Air. and Airs. Walls. Air. and Airs. Niven and Aliss E. King, of Wellington, were recent guest? of Afr. and Airs. 11. Alasters. Air. H. Tremnin has returned homo from Trentham Camp having been dis- 1 charged unfit. Afr. and Airs. 11. Alasters spent a few days in Wellington as the gue3t of APrb and Airs. AlcConchie. Air. and Airs. W. Ellery (Kopiki) were recent guests for a few days of Air. and Airs. 11. Ellery. Air. T. Alasters spent a recent week end in Palmerston North.
