Record in Civilian Air Traffic
Received Friday, 8.55 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 8. A record in wartime civilan air traffic was created recently when British Airways had six services leaving the country, and three arriving from abroad. It is reported that aeroplane traffic figures for ono day were a hundred passengers, 150,000 letters and OOOOlbs. of miscellaneous freight. The airmail transit times have improved and letters from Australia arrived within a month. .Some were sent via the Pacific in under three weeks.
