Miss Betty Nash Honoured
In view of her approaching marriage, Miss Betty Nash, of To Awe Awe Street, has been honoured by two organisations of which she has been secretary. On Tuesday evening the Red Cross younger set met. at the home of Miss L. Wimsett, of Church Street, when the president (Miss P. Murphy) presented Miss Nash with a cream electric heater, eulogising her services as the first secretary of the younger set. Recently, members of the Manawatu branch of the Nga Tawa Old Girls’ Association met at the home of Miss R. Gillies, of Massey Street, committee members present being Mesdamos A. E. R. Joblin (president), A. Guy, K. Biss, Misses R. Gillies, Y. Rapley and M. Matthews • Mrs. Joblin made a presentation to Miss Nash on behalf of members and thanked her for her services to the association.
