Tlie weekly dance given by the A.N.A. Club was held in Miss Gwen Gibbs’ studio on Saturday night, when there were about one hundred present. Mrs. J. H. Whyte and Miss D. Haggitt, assisted by Miss K. Garner and Mrs. M. C. McGregor, were the hostesses. The music was provided by Miss P. King and extras wero played by Miss Thompson and men of the Forces. Pupil nurses appointed by the Palmerston North Hospital Board yesterday, to take up their duties from July 1, are Misses F. E. Hills, C. E. Butler, M. B'. Rentoul, L. McNab, J. L. Johnson, H. M. Nash, M. E. Heald, T. H. Bauche, M. P. Moore, F. M. McMillan, M. M. Henderson and G. M. Carson.
