Smith, who has been clerk of the Court in Dannevirke for the past three years, has resigned from the Justice Department in order to commence practice as a public accountant in North Canterbury. I At the Napier Pigeon and Cage Bird Club’s annual show last week, Mr. L. A. Walker was successful when, having entered four canaries, ho was awarded two first prizes, ouo second, the club’s special award, and the North Island championship for a Norwich variegated yellow canary.
