Soldiers’ Parcels From Feilding District
SUPPORT OF CITIZENS NEEDED Before the end of the present month Feilding and district (Zone E patriotic organisation area) is expected to find a total of 600 parcels for soldiers. Several of the district committees are already busy ou the task and a number of parcels have come forward. Acknowledgment is made of the following: Makino Women’s Institute 14, Oroua Downs Social Club 7, Oroua Downs Women’s Institute 3, Sanson Women’s Institute 7, Ohakea Women’s Institute 3, Parewanui Women’s Institute Women’s Institute 30, while the Ashhurst Women’s Institute has sent in a donation of £3.
The Feilding Ladies’ Patriotic Committee is now in a position to receive donations toward the Feildng quota aifd these may take the form of cash, which may be left with the treasurer (Mr. C. H. Tate), a complete parcel or any component part. The contents of the parcel are:—One tn of coffee and milk, condensed milk or cream; one cake of chocolate in sealed tin; one tin of one of the following: Fruit, oysters, whitebait, honey, soup, lamb and green peas, tomato juice; one cake or smaSl cakes in sealed tin; one pair black bootlaces; one packet safety-razor blades; ouo khaki handkerchief; writing pad and envelopes or pack of playing cards; a card bearing the name and address of donor or society responsible for the parcel. Donations of biscuits or shortbread will be especially acceptable. These should be small or rolled thin for convenient packing in small tins.
