Miss Marie Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Webby and family, all of Martinborough, are visiting friends in Woodville. Miss Bernice Philips, of Palmerston North, is spending her vacation with parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Philips, McLean Street. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Orr left yesterday for Wellington, accompanied by their son, Mr. L. Orr, who returned to Trentham camp after being on leave. Dr. W. Bcedie, medical superintendent of the Dannevirke Hospital, is an iuvatc of a private hospital at Palmerston North. Dr. J. Beedie is acting medical superintendent. Friends will regret to learn that Gordon, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Philips, McLean Street, is an inmate of Dailnevirke Hospital suffer* ing irom rheumatic fever.
