MANY U.S. ROAD FATALITIES
(Rec. 1, 12.45) CHICAGO. April 30. Automobiles killed 8110 persons in the United States in the first quarter of 1941. Unless the accident rate drops, the National Safety Council fears that the 1941 traffic deaths will reach 40,000, the greatest in the nation’s history.
