Large-scale Invasion Manoeuvres
TEN THOUSAND ARMY VEHICLES ENGAGED (British Official Wireless.) Received Wednesday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, April 29. Five thousand men as well as over 10,000 army vehicles took part in largescale manoeuvres recently, the general idea of which was invasion on one side or tho destruction of the invaders on the other. Describing this giaut exercise an agency war correspondent states how impressed ho was by the efficiency and ondurance of the troops taking part and of their equipment. He says ; “British tanks wore there by hundreds, all manned by splendidly tough picked crews —a few short months ago this was still a dream, but now' it is an accomplished fact."
