EXECUTIVE MEETS The executive committee of the Feilding Hockey Association met on Tuesday ovening, Mr. A. Hendry presiding. Correspondence from the Rata, Marton, Kia Ora, Huia (Feilding), and Hinemoa (Wanganui) clubs entering teams for The opening tournament ou .Saturday, May 8 (eleven-aside)- was received. Games for this event will be played as under: — No. 1 Ground. 2 p.m.: Rata v. Huia. 2.30 p.m.: Rata v. Hinemoa. 3 p.m.: Kia Ora v. Hinemoa. 3.36 p.m.: Huia v. Hinemoa. 4 p.m.: Martou v. Hinemoa. ,!No. 2 Ground. 2 p.m.: Martou v. Kia Ora. 2.30 p.m.: Huia v. Marton. 3 p.m.: Rata v. Martou. 3.30 p.m.: Rata v. Kia Ora. 4 p.m.: Huia v. Kia Ora. As June 2 lias beeu set aside for the King’s Birthday celebration, it was de cided to hold the usuaL tournament on this date and preliminary arrangements are well in hand, while handsome trophies have been procured for men’s and ladies’ teams. The usual grand ball in the Drill Hall will be held in the evening.
