(From Our Own Correspondent.) Young Farmers’ Club The Y.F.C. had a stormy wet night for their meeting but there were 30 members present. Air. G. Pearson was in the chair and had the co-operation of the advisory president, Air. H. J, Lancaster. Alembers stood in silence as a mark of respect to Air. J. O ’Connor, who had lost a brother. The newlyelected secretary is going into camp for 3 months, and Air. K. Redmayne was appointed to fill the temporary vacancy. Alessrs. I. Hunt and J. T. Hill were elected to membership. Mr. O ’Connor made a donation of £2 to the dub's social fund and was thanked for his generosity. One of the younger generation of New Zealanders, Air. C. E. Taylor, Palmerston North, who has had the opportunity to travel abroad, and spent two years in Sweden, was invited to give a talk on that country. In moving a vote of thanks the chairman stated that he hoped tho Alanawatu executive would place Air. Taylor’s name on their list of lecturers, so that all clubs in the district might share in the valuable general knowledge he had acquired. Methodist Church There was a full attendance of officials of the Banson-Lougotea Methodist Circuit on Tuesday night when Rev. C. Al. Roberts presided. The chairman extended a welcome to those who were attending the meeting for the first time. The circuit steward, Air. E. C. Print, read the balance sheet. After all expenses had been met there remained a credit balance on the quarter 's work of £3l 12s 9d. The following special collections were authorised to bo taken up during the following quarter: —On behalf of the Foreign Alission Fund, a retiring collection, for the Young People’s Work, and for the Trust Fund, at the anniversary services to be held during May. On the recommendation of a special committee that had been set up to enquire into the matter, it was decided to approve of holding regular Alethodist services at Bulls and that the Alar ton circuit be requested to undertake the. pastoral work. The secretary was instructed to write to Air. G. Young, Palmerston North, expressing the sympathy of the meeting iu his recent bereavement. Mrs. M. E. Bmith, who was u delegate to the recent conference ut Auckland read s. report of the proceedings. It is hoped to receive a visit from Rev. G. H. Goodman in August or Beptember in the interests of the Alethodist Centenary Thanksgiving Fund. Air. Roberts suggested that the coming winter months would be an opportune time to hold a week’s mission and he was empowered to endeavour to secure the services of Bister Rita Snowden. Bobby Calves The annual meeting of the Rongotea and district Bobby Calf Pool was held on Tuesday afternoon, Air. A. G. Dear being in the chair. Satisfaction with the work of the committee during the past year was expressed and the following members of the committee were re-electd:-—Mssrs. A. G. Dear, E. N. Rowe, A. N. Alorcom, R. Bcott, M. Frecklingtozi, U. iEV Hunt, 0. Egiinton and three members who are residents of Bulls. It is expected that calves will be collected us in previous seasons but the question of prices has not yet been arranged.
