Gossip From the Golf Courses
FOUR-BALL STABLEFORD AT HOKOWHITU The competition at Hokowhitu during the week-end was a Stableford bogey handicap. The course was in grand order and there was some fine scoring. K. S. Glendinning, who was Tound in 74, and J. S. Shand who, with his stroke, carded eagles at Strang’s and Ti Ti’s, handed in the best card in the four ball Stableford, and Glendinning won the sealed handicap with 13 points for six holes. There was a big field and profits go to the patriotic fund. The leading scores were as under:— Four-ball Stableford. Pts. K. S. Glendinning and J. S. Shand 46 A. W. Chapman and W. J. Broughton - 43 N. O ’Brieu and R. S. Shand .... 42 H. Peters and A. M. Moran .... 39 Sealed Handicap. Pts. KT. S. Glendinning 13 R. S. Shand 12 W. J. Broughton 12 R. B. Sinclair . * .. -H H.
