Man Found Fatally Injured in Street
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 27. Leonard Carney, aged 40, married, died iu the Christchurch Public Hospital at 12.50 p.m. to-day, having been admitted in an unconscious condition about 12 hours before. He was found lying on tho road at the corner of Moorhouse Avenue and Antigua Street hall* an hour after midnight with in juries to the side of his head. He was taken to the hospital where ho underwent an operation, but did not regain consciousness before death. There was no sign of damage to his bicycle which was standing against a fence ilcar jykeie he was found.
