Women’s Section Of National Party
The women’s section of the National Party met at the National Club, Mrs. VV. F. Field presiding. A proposal that a fair be arranged was held over indefinitely and it was decided to hold a bring-and-buy afternoon for sectior funds. Mesdames Gillott and Malcolir were appointed delegates to the Women’s War Service Auxiliary. The executive was reappointed as follows: Mesdaines Field, J. H. Wryte, L. Bale Iv. Davis, D. Black, H. Mills and Misj C. Warburton, and the social committee with two additions, now consists of Mesdames Malcolm, Driver, Cummer field, If. Gillott, W. Briden-Jones anc Misil M. Murray. Miss Warburton pre sented a report on the divisional con ference; Mrs. Briden-Jones reported or the electorate committee meeting anc Mrs. Gillott on the war work section. I was also reported that some of the members of the women’s section hac agreed to canvass for party members Mrs. Whyte thanked Mesdames Drive: and Gillott for staffing the sandbag shelter at short notice, and Mrs. Fielc thanked Miss Murray for her excellent work in canvassing.
