Iraq Government And British Troops
Received Wednesday, 8.30 p.m. VICHY, April 22. The Iraq Government has issued a inmunique explaining that the British
Government asked permission to pass certain troops through Iraq. This was granted in conformity with the provisions of the British-Iraq treaty. The communique added: “The Iraq Government is watching over the rights of the kingdom and sovereignty of the nation and would not allow these to bo infringed in any way.”
