Miscellaneous Programme At Girls’ Music Club
St. Andrew’s schoolroom was brightly decorated with asters, zinnias and geri beras last evening for the opening of tho 1911 season of the Palmerston I North Girls’ Music Club, when a miscellaneous programme was enjoyed. Miss E. Rawlins presided, and voicing her pleasure in tho occasion offered a welcome to members and visitors.
! Follow’! ng was the programme: Piano, Ballade (Brahms), Miss L. Buick; vocal, “The Silver Ring” (Chaminade), Mies J. Blythe; piano, Last Movement Appasionata Sonata (Beethoven), Miss B. Bartlett; violin, [“Romance” (Svensden), Miss J. Findlay; vocal, “Here in the Quiet Hills,” [Miss I). Junker (Pahiatua); piano, j First Movement Haydn Sonata in E Flat, Miss F. Revere; violin, “Czardas” (Monti), Mrs. F. Chittenden; [vocal, “Charming Chloe” (German) and ‘'Golden Slumbers’’ (17th Century), Miss G. Laurenson; piano, Rhapsody No. 2 (Brahms), Miss M. Anderson.
The accompaniments were played by Mrs. I. X. Rickard, Misses L. Buick aud C. Bartlett.
