German Plan to Occupy Bulgaria
BELGRADE, Jan. 6. Well-informed circles in Belgrade predict that Germany will occupy Bulgaria peacefully beginning on Wednesday. German sources say that Russia will not intervene. It is reported that all Russian envoys in the Balkans have been summoned to Moscow for immediate consultation.
Military circles accord a full measure of praise to the Italian troops for the gallantry they have shown when they knew that they were being sacrificed in a vain endeavour to raise up Mussolini’s waning prestige.
