Obituary
MR. J. W. MASTERS Air. James William Atasters, of Aorangi, a widely known and highly respected resident of this district passed away on Thursday last. The deceased, who was born at Ohakea, was the sec|ond son of the late Air. and Airs. Thomas Masters. He was educated at Sanson in which district he later took up farming. In 1912 lie married Aliss R. M. Morgan, of Wanganui, after which they resided- in Sanson until about six years ago, when on account of Mr. Atasters’ ill-health they took up their residence at Aorangi. The. late Air. Mas.te.rs was a staunch member of the Sanson and Feilding Methodist Church, also for many years an enthusiastic member of the Sanson (School Committee. The Sahson Old Boys’ Association was another local body in which he took a keen interest. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters, Air. Colin Atasters, of Wellington, Airs. R. Harris, of Sanson, and Aliss B. Masters, also his younger brother, Air. H. R. Alasters, of Ohakea, and four sisters, Alesdames E. Eglinton and W. Bishop, of Sanson, E. Mathews, of Alarton, and Aliss M. Masters, of Feilding. An elder brother, the late Mr. C. Masters, of Feilding, predeceased his brother only three weeks ago.
