Miss Betty Pearpoint, of Feilding, is on a visit to friends in Gisborne. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Knight, Beattie Street, Feilding, aro spending a holiday of two weeks in Nailer. Miss P. Murphy, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Andersen, Makotuku. Sister Train, of Palmerston North, has been on holiday with her mother, Mrs. F. Train, of Waitotara. Miss Catherine White, of Palmerston North, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. V. White, of Christchurch. Miss Johansen, of Orangimea, is spending the school holidays in Palmer ston North. Mrs. J. Bennett and her baby daughter, of Hastings, aro visiting Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Richards, McLean Street, Palmerston North. Miss E. McVay has returned to Napier alter a visit to her neice, Mrs. Peter Canning, of “Oakburn,” Porangahau. Miss C. Warburton, Collego Street, lias returned to Palmerston North aftei spending a few days with her sister Mrs. C. Dalgety, at Packalcariki beach. Sister Sheild of the Papakura Military Camp, is spending her linal leave as the guest of Mrs. Geoffrey Hair, Arapata. Mr. and Mrs. Bird and Mrs. Bird, snr., of Palmerston North, are staying with Air. and Mrs. M. Munro, of Mako Mako Road, Levin. Air. and Airs. F. I’Anson, of Taurauga, who have been the guests of Mrs. W. G. Stevens, of Awapuni, returned home yesterday. Aliss Kathleen Baker, of Wellington, and Aliss Esme Wilcox, of Pokero, are visitors to Feilding for the holidays and are the guests of Airs. A. Humphrey, “ Summcrhill,” Colyton. A visitor to New Zealand from Thailand is A[rs. John Greer, who arrived from Australia recently. She is at present in Auckland and leaves there to-day for Rotorua to visit her mother. Air. and Airs. W. A. Bailey, “Kairanga, ” Feilding, returned home yesterday after spending the Christmas anc New Year holidays with Air. and Airs. Terence Bailey, of Porangahau, Hawke’s Bay. The many friends of Mrs. W. Duncan, of Ruanui Station, Taihape, will be glad to learn that she is making good progress in a private hospital in Palmerston North after her unfortunate accident in sustaining a broken leg on the first day of the Alanawatu Racing Club’s summer meeting.
