Melody Dance Club

There were very good attendances at the Melody dances held in the Empire Hall last Saturday and Monday evenings and organised by Miss W. Hubbard. A professional orchestra of four players supplied excellent music, while Mr. Howard Fork capably carried out the duties of M.C. By special request Mr. George Dawson and partner (Jhsoni and Diane) gave a demonstration of various dances, including the old-time and modern waltz. Diane appeared in a very dainty frock of pale green georgette trimmed with pink roses. Their item was loudly applauded, the encore being the Charleston and “The Trick." A feature of Monday night's dance was a special programme of continuous dancing, which was greatly appreciated by the patrons, and by request the continuous dancing (including several modern dances and the modem waltz) will be held again to-night at tho Melody dance. An announcement was made by the M.C. that- the next Melody dance would be held iu the Little Theatre Hall (Opera House) to-night, November 2, owing to the usual , hall being engaged. Full details are advertised elsewhere in this issue.
