The monthly meeting of the women's tection of the National Party was held at the National Club on Wednesday. Ih the absence of Mrs. W. F. Field, Mrs. Bale took the chair. Votes of sympathy were accorded Mrs. Field in her illness and Mrs. H. Seifert in the death of tie* father. It was stated that £5 5s had been paid to the London Belief Fund, ulso a donation of £3. Owing to numerous requests, it wa3 decided to hold a further bridge afternoon at the club. The operations of the war work section have been particularly successful this month, 176 garments of a high standard having been despatched to the United Guild, in addition to 70 knitted comforts for Trentbam Camp. Correspondence, including a circular from headquarters, was dealt with and discussed.
