The weatner was lino and sunny and those present were enabled in enjoying a pleasant aiternoou's tennis. Afternoon tea was served in tho supper-room ox tne Town nail by tne lames present. Mr. W. N, Brewer, vice-president of the club, wished tae club a prosperous season. He also extended a welcome to the new captain, lVir. Coleman, who is a new member to the club. The monthly meeting of Court Pohangina A.O.F. was held on Thursday, L; .ter H. Middleton, C.R., presiding over a good attendance of member*. Two members was reported the Court sick funds. The secretaary, Bro. W. R. .fcJmith, P.C.R., presented the quarterly balance sheet, members being gratified at the financial position of the Court. Three new members were initiated into the order. Invitations were received from Court Littlejohn (Marton) to their seventy-fifth anniversary and also from Court Manawatu. The court is to be represented at both evenings.
