ALL MUST PLAY PART Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. Instancing the example of the men and women of Great Britain, Mr. J. G. Coates, a member of the War Cabinet, appealed at a luncheon gatheiing of the Welington Returned {Soldiers’ Associa- j tion for the wholehearted co-operation of everybody in New Zealand in the war effort. If thousands of joung men were needed overseas, he said, and production had to be maintained, it was up to those who remained to see that it was maintained. The present was no time for differences of politics or creeds, and he was not one of those who thought that if the United Kingdom fell the Empire would fall too. Every part of the Empire had its part to play and should play that part to the end. Mr. Coates referred to the situation in the Middle East and tbe Pacific, with its implications oC graver responsibilities for New Zealand. He mentioned the importance of the complete under, standing on war policy which existed between Australia and New Zealand.
