Post Office Money-orders
NEW RATES OF COMMISSION Per PrcaS Association. WELLINGTON, Oct. 31. New' rates of commission are being adopted for post office moncy’-orders issued and paid in New Zealand and the Cook Islands, according to an announcement by r lion. P. C. Webb to-night. The present rate of commission is a penny for each pound or part of a pound, with a minimum of sixpence. The new rate will be scveupence for the first ten pounds and threepence for each additional five pound* or part of five pound*. In comparison with the present charges, the new r rates reduce the commission on orders for large amounts and slightly increase it on those for small amounts# Tho change is intended to make the rates of commission more equitable throughout the whole range of orders from £1 to £4O.
