(From Our Own Correspondent.) I The Improvement and Beautifying Society held a euchre party and dance on Saturday evening, the card winners being Mrs. J. R. Mochan and Mrs. Hill and Messrs. S. Coleman and G. Hayward. Mr. V. A. Martin controlled the games and the supper was attended to by Mesdames T. Boness, V. A. Martin and J. Penney, assisted by members of the society. Music for daucing was supplied by Mrs. W. Beaman, of Feilding. The holiday week-end brought quite a few out to the beach, among whom were Mr. and Mrs. W. Hunt and family, Mr. and Mrs. M. Wildbore and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. Allan and son, Mrs, M. R. Anderson and Miss Edna Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and family, Miss Cleland, Mr. Morris and Mr. and Mrs. 0. 8, Avery (all of Feilding), Mr. 8, Coleman (Waituna West), Mr. and Mrs. E. Calkin and family, Mrs. E. J. Miles, Miss Elva Miles, Mr. Noel Miles and Miss Beth Tolley (of Marton), Mr. and Mrs. W. Nant and family, Miss Joan Duckworth, Mr. and Mrs. V, C, Christiansen and family, Mr. and Mrs, J. V. Kyle and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Mochan and family, Mr, N. Dixon, Mr. and Mrs. T. Woodham, Mr. and Mm E. J. Hickin and son (Palmerston North), Mr. J. Kendrick (Bunnythorpe), Mrs- P, L. Kent and eons (Glen Oroua), Mr. and Mrs. A. R, Clark (Kairanga), Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Castleton. Mr, George Alsop and Mr, G, Mareton left on Monday for Christchurch, where they expect to spend a few months visiting relatives.
