MANAWATU ASSOCIATION At a meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. J. T. McDonald presiding, the following clubs notified their intention of resigning from the association owing to the war conditions: Shannon, Pohangina, Ihakara, Y.M.C.A. and St. Mary’s Anglican Club (Levin). It was decided, however, to write to these clubs and explain the conditions regarding affiliation, also stating that, if need be, financial assistance for them might be arranged.

In connection with the inter-club competitions this season, the club delegates present were of the opinion that they ought to be held, but that nothing definite should be decided upon until the entries are received. A sub-commit-tee, consisting of the following, was I elected to manage the inter-club competitions: Messrs McDonald, J. C. Christie, L. J. Chapman, W. L. Sexton and R. O. Haddon*
