SUPREME COURT GRANTS DIVORCES Several petitions -for. divorce were presented to the Chief Justice, Sir. Michael Myers, in the Palmerston North Supreme Court yesterday.. Leslie Paul Hastings (Mr. Lovell), engineet of Palmerston North, sought divorce from Gladys Beatrice Hastings, of Wellington, on the grounds of adultery, Robert Arnold Jackson, of Wellington, being named as co-respondent. Petitioner said he was married on November 29, 1939. His wife had given him a written admission of misconduct. Evidence of tne' parties having been observed together in suspicious circumstances was also given after which His Honour, granted a decree nisi to be moved aosolute after three months. Rodgers) v. Percy Thomas Morrison; Royco Henry Martin (Mr. G. E. Rowe) v. Rachel Ethel Martin; Margaret Irene Birkinshaw (Mr. G. 1. McGregor) v. Edison Montague Birkinshaw.
