Extension of U.S. Trusteeship To Pacific Urged
WASHINGTON, Aug. 7. Mr Samuel King, Hawaiian delegate to Congress, to-day urged extension cl the Declaration of Havana (which forbids the transfer of Western Hemisphere territory from one non-Ameri-can Power to another) to strategic Pacific Islands. He pointed out that the United States Is constructing a naval and air base at Palyrma which would be threatened if Fanning and Christmas Islands were transferred to an unfriendly Power.
