Mr. P. J. Moran, of Wakeman Street, Pahiatua, has returned to his home after a holiday spent in Wellington. Privates A. L. W. Bailey, G. M. Kershaw, K. G. Lett and It. Matthews, members of the special force, are in Pahiatua on a fortnight's final leave. Mr. C. Connell, of Konini, who underwent an operation for appendicitis in the Pahiatua Public Hospital on Thursday, was reported yesterday to bo progressing gfavourably.
