Miners Ordered Back

WORK RESUMES ON MONDAY Per Press Association. AVESTPORT, Nov. 24. Following addresses by T Messrs. Devlin and McLagen, president and secretary' respectively of the New Zealand Federation of Miners, that the Government, under the Emergency Act, ordered the miners back to work, the Denniston miners at a mass meeting re solved that under Government compulsion the Denniston miners would resume work on Monday. In the meantime, the executive, with Messrs. Devlin and McLagen, will interview Mr. Glendining, mining manager for the AA'estport Coal Company at Denniston, and ask him not to aggravate the position by utilising big boxes at present.
