CALF CLUB JUDGING

Concluding Results

BIG DAY AT LYTTON ST. SCHOOL The calf club judging was brought to a close yesterday throughout the Manawatu-Oroua district, the proceedings including a big day at the Lytton Street School, Feilding, when 15 calves, four yearlings and one 3yr.-old beast were brought forward. This effort on the part of the pupils of a town school is a matter for congratulation and demonstrates that the interest in this excellent movement is not confined to the country schools where the children have played such a practical part in the scheme. Messrs. E. H. Lange and R. A. Robbie, agricultural instructors of the Wanganui Education Board have been in charge of tho proceedings and throughout have experienced the utmost co-operation from group supervisors, judges and parents. Pupils and parents arc now all looking forward to the championship judging which will take place at Fcilding oil December 5. The results of the judging at the several schools in the northern area and those in the southern area which were finalised yesterday, are as follows: — Lytton Street School.
