Architects Concerned At Shortage of Materials
WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. Deep concern at the grave effects of the import restrictions on building activities generally was expressed at the annual meeting of the Wellington district branch of the Institute of Architects this week, and it was resolved to approach the authorities and earnestly discuss the problems at issue. Tho principal materials it is almost impossible to obtain are electrical conduit, copper piping, sheet copper, cast iron pipe, door and window' locks, galvanised iron, certain types of wallboard and reinforcing steel.
