Sacred Concert
It is doubtful whether a programme of such outstanding musical talent has been presented to a Palmerston North audience for some considerable time as will be featured on Sunday night's programme. Mr. H. Gladstone Hill, the well-known musical critic, of Wellington, has arranged a programme of outstanding merit which must appeal to all music losers in this city. The main feature will be the first appearance of the Bohemian Male Voice Choir of forty voices under the baton of Mr. Hill. This is the first occasion on which this choir has appeared in Palmerston North but the success of this organisation in Wellington at recent concerts has been highly commended by all musical critics. The supporting artists comprise such w-011-know*n radio personalities as Miss Ena Rapley, Miss Leslie Hall, Miss Maureen Hickford, Mr. Ron Wakelin, Mr. Bert Hickford and Mr. William Biggie, whilst Air. Erie Bell, whose pianoforte playing has delighted so
many radio listeners, will not only act as accompanist but render two solo items entitled ‘‘Among the Classics" and “In Lighter Vein." The Palmerston North Garrison Band will be heard playing that ever popular number “Waiata Poi" and the whole programme promises to delight the most critical audience. The full programme will appear in to-morrow's issue of this paper and as the box plan is now‘rapidly filling, intending patrons are advised to make their reservations early at the N.Z.I. Company where the box plan is now open.
