The Letter Box Letter

STATED TO BE A NATIONAL SCHEME In connection with the reference in Tuesday’s “Times” to the letter from the P. and T. Department to householders inviting them to erect letterboxes for the reception of their mail at their gateways, it was mentioned that information had been received that tho project was not a national one. Air. A. Orr, postmaster at Feilding, informed a “Times” representative that the letter received by Feilding householders was being sent out to ah householders throughout the Dominion. Feilding had possibly received the letter earlier than other centres but the scheme was being placed before all towns.
