Chinese ’Planes Raid Jap Airport
CLAIM TO HAVE DESTROYED 100 AEROPLANES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday, 9.20 p.m. CHUNGKING, Oct. 15. It is officially stated that threo Chinese bombers wiped out the airfield at Hankow, destroying nearly a hundred Japanese ’planes on tho ground afte which they gave battlo to chasers fr 200 miles, shooting down, three. A Shanghai message says tho Dome. Agency states that 20 Chinese ’planeraided Hankow and dropped 40 bombs, killing 50 Chinese and no Japanese. The only damage was tho ignition of petrol stored in a suburban airport.
