■ Miss S. Burrows and Mr. C. D. Burrows, of Palmerston North, are visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. R. Allison, Ward Street, leave on Wednesday next on a month's holiday to bo spent in Australia. Mrs. S. Trask, who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. M. Wheeler, in Wei- : lington, returned to Palmerston North yesterday and is tho guest of Mrs. J. T. Bosworth, Fitzherbert Avenuo. ■ Mr. and Mrs. C. Dalgety, Mungawcka, who have been holidaying in Australia, accompanied by Miss Eileen Bosworth, of Palmerston North, return to Auckland by tho Aorangi to-day. I Mrs. Sarah Loach Dean, whodied in Napier this week, was the widow of Rev. Oliver Dean, who for many years was in charge of St. Andrew's Church, Port Ahuriri. Mrs. Dean was born in Napier, aud was the elder daughter of Mr. R. Holt. She leaves three daughters—Mrs. H. R. Bisley, Napier, and Misses Mona and Winifred Dean, Palmerston North and Napier respectively I' —and one son, Dr. Iv. Dean, Palmerston . North. A second son, Mr. L.
