Britons Warned
PUPPET MAYOR OF PEIPING ISSUES STATEMENT PEIPING, July 23. Tho Japanese-appointed Mayor of Peiping has issued a special warning to Britons, urging them to take the greatest care while walking the streets, and suggesting that they should discontinue visits to beauty spots. The warning followed a statement by the Mayor urging extension of the antiBritish movement. He appealed to the Chinese not to buy British goods. The Muyor asked non-British foreign- j ers to display national flags on their 1 cars and residences, thus making s Britons more conspicuous.
