BACHELOR TAX TO HELP SCHEME United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Alonday, 10.35 p.m. PARIS, July 24. The French Government has agreed to provide £6,000,000 yearly to encourage the youth of France to marry. Bachelors and couples without children will be taxed to assist to finance the scheme. Loans will be granted to couples without distinction, repayments dropping with the birth of each child. Other measures are special travelling rates for big families and Jump sums for peasants agreeing to stay on the land when they marry.
