With the Guns At Fitzherbert Bridge
STKAxX OF TROPHY SHOOTS SATURDAY’S CONDITIONS WERE GOOD The Palmerston North Gun Club held the sixth of the series of trophy shoots at the Fitzherbert bridge grounds on Saturday and the conditions were favourable, this being reflected in the scoring, no less than six possibles being secured during tho afternoon. The first event was that for tho sixth round of the Black and White Cup. Possibles were recorded by F. Farmer, E. de Tourret, N. Hanson, W. A. Thomson and L. J. Thomson. The next event was the trophy shoot and this was won by N. Hansen with a possible. Airs, de Tourret and J. Homo tied for the second trophy, Horne winning in the shoot-off. The final event was the sixth round of the de Tourret Cup, the principal scorers being Farmer (9), Hansen (9), AI. lvcarins (8), W. A. Thomson (7) and J. Dunlop (7). In this there was no shoot-off because tho cup winner will be decided on aggregate (best five scores out of eight). The position is the same in regard to the Black and White Cup. It is worthy of note that at the end of tho sixth round and with two shoots to go, Airs, de Tourret is leading for tho Black and White Cup by one point and by two points from threo other competitors.
