Representatives to the National Midway Board meeting, held in Wellington last week spent a very busy and interesting time. Discussions covered a wide area of interests and meetings were chaired in turn by presidents of the various associations throughout the Dominion. Meetings were held in the lecture room of the Y.W.C.A. of Wellington and on two evenings the group were entertained by the national president— Dr. Sylvia Chapman, at her home and by Miss Irene Wilson at Queen Margaret College. The twenty-first annual meeting of the local Y.W.C.A. will be held in the club rooms on Thursday next, 27th, at 7.30 p.m. Miss Leila Bridgman, general secretary of Wellington is coming as special speaker and will speak of her recent visit to the World’s Council in Canada. An attractive programme of musical and dramatic items will be presented by club members. An invitation to attend is extended to the publie. To enable members of the board to meet Miss Bridgman personally, Mrs. P. Flood will entertain at'her home on Thursday afternoon.
